Gail Reynoldson – Head of IP Formalities

As a graduate in Business and Foreign Languages, Gail joined Lucas & Co. in 2001 from an International banking and finance background. After spending 3 years in the Accounts area, she studied successfully for the CIPA Patent Administrator examination and subsequently became head of the firm?s IP formalities department. Her day to day role now encompasses a wide range of IP formalities including the filing of new PCT, European and UK applications, Nationalisations and Validations, UK, CTM and foreign trademarks and designs.

Out of hours, Gail is a full time mother and Secretary of the Parents? Association at her children?s school, in which she helps to organise a variety of events. Gail enjoys watching all types of sport, playing tennis, dancing, gardening, and eating out.

Dawn Cato – IP Paralegal

Dawn left several years of music publishing rights behind her to join Lucas & Co. at the start of 2007. Working predominantly on formalities she passed her CIPA Administrator?s exam in 2009.

In her free time she enjoys listening to music, going to the theatre, the cinema and fine dining.

Katy Thomas

Katy has worked for Lucas & Co. since 2004, and now works part-time after having had her first child. Katy’s main responsibilities are secretarial work, dealing with IP formalities, assisting with accounts and renewals, and answering the telephone.

In her spare time she enjoys eating out, films, and spending time with her family.

Doreen Stone

Doreen joined the firm fifteen years ago and worked initially in both IP renewals and formalities. Over the years the business has grown and Doreen is now the Head of our Renewals Department. Doreen has a wide range of experience in all aspects of IP formalities.

Out of hours retail therapy is top of Doreen?s list, following lunches with friends. Gardening least favourite but a necessity!

Bobby Collins

Bobby joined Lucas & Co. in 2006. He is responsible for the ongoing implementation and the day to day running of our IT systems.

His responsibilities include maintaining and upgrading the Microsoft based platforms we operate, as well as the wider network infrastructure, VMware virtualisation infrastructure, document management system, Open Source collaboration server, Website, disaster recovery backup & our extensive IT security.

Through the use of leading technological advances, Bobby ensures that our systems run as seamlessly as possible, and in particular that our files are available to our attorneys at any time and wherever they are in the world.

Bobby holds an MCSE in Microsoft Windows 2000 & 2003, and has over 10 years experience in IT implementations, consulting & maintenance.

In his spare time, he enjoys playing the piano, spending time with his family, experimenting with web & iPhone app development and the occasional pint of real ale.
